A collection of beautiful handmade ceramic flowers in an upcycled “Jiffy” mix box/vase. This particular arrangement—Up There, D’Lo—is inspired by the one of my favorite small towns in Mississippi, made famous by the “Sirens” scene in O’Brother Where Art Thou?
This particular arrangement has four ceramic blooms in a “Jiffy” pie crust box. Each arrangement is one-of-a-kind and handmade, therefore, imperfections exist. However, rather than be dismayed, I encourage you to embrace them. I think that these imperfections give these blooms character and depth.
Blooms in a Box Series
Blooms in a Box are one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic flowers artfully arranged inside of a upcycled “Jiffy” mix box/vase. Partly inspired by nature and imagination, each arrangement comes with five stoneware flowers of varying colors, shapes, and sizes. Flowers are made by hand from white stoneware clay. Each bloom is twice fired at temperatures up to 2200 degrees. Each vase is an upcycled “Jiffy” mix box, purposefully selected to complement each arrangement. Boxes are treated with an acrylic sealant that makes it quite sturdy. The arrangement is supported inside of the box/vase with floral foam and glass stones.
